Out and About

June 2024 - July 2026

The Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) is excited to announce Out and About, an LGBTQ+ exhibit focusing on the history and stories of LGBTQ+ individuals in the Fredericksburg area. We are honored to have the opportunity to preserve and tell the stories of this community that are deeply entwined in our region’s history.

We are currently looking for objects and voices to include in this exhibition. Do you have a story to tell? To share your story with our staff, please contact our Curatorial Specialist Kylie Thomson at [email protected]

To record your story anonymously, call 540-385-5500.

This exhibit is now open through summer of 2026.
