Thomas Paine: Common Sense and an Uncommon Story
Join FAM for a lecture with David Marsich of Germanna Community College as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense. Marsich will examine how Paine’s work in the early United States connected to and influenced his later writings in France and Britain.

David Marsich is a faculty member at Germanna Community College, teaching courses in American history. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and his master’s degree from the University of Kentucky. He is a PhD candidate at George Mason University, where he is finishing his dissertation on the relationship between congressmen and their constituents in the early United States. He lives in King George with his family.
